Cristina is a dedicated and experienced therapist who earned her master’s degree in clinical mental health counseling from Georgia State University in 2019. Since then, she has worked in community agencies and private practice, where she gained considerable experience in the counseling field treating a wide spectrum of disorders, from mild depression and anxiety to more complex issues like psychosis and suicidality.

Cristina is a bilingual therapist that offers services in both English and Spanish. She believes in transformation and strives to ensure therapy is comfortable and relatable so that clients can thrive in an environment where they feel safe, heard, and seen. In a collaborative process, she helps her clients move toward self-discovery, healing, and growth. When you work with Cristina, you are partnering with a compassionate professional who believes in your potential.

As a therapist, Cristina has a knack for understanding anger and holds a certification for this specialty. She also like to help individuals process and heal from trauma, as she has personally seen the impact that successful therapy has on her own and her clients’ personal growth. She also works with other issues like anxiety, depression, self-esteem, relationship problems, and life transitions. She works with adolescents and adults individually, as well as couples and families.  Her approach is grounded in evidence-based techniques, tailored to the clients’ specific needs and goals. While CBT and DBT interventions are the techniques she uses the most, she also implements present-based trauma interventions, Gottman methods, and mindfulness into her practice. She has spent time assisting Spanish-speaking and English-speaking individuals in therapy as well as helping immigrants and their families. Over the last five years, she developed a niche in conducting psychosocial evaluations for immigrants from different countries who are undergoing immigration proceedings.

Cristina is licensed in Georgia and North Carolina.
