Dr. Chandra uses a warm, empathetic style to meet her clients where they are. Employing a laid back and relaxed approach, along with a sense of humor, she uses a combination of interpersonal and evidence based techniques to treat her clients.
Dr. Chandra obtained her Psy.D. from the Chicago School of Professional Psychology and graduated at the top of her class. Her clinical interests include working with children, adolescents, and adults who have endured adverse or traumatic experiences. She trained extensively in the treatment of PTSD, Complex PTSD and associated diagnoses, utilizing evidence based techniques such as Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) and Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT). Moreover, she completed her dissertation on the consequences of childhood abuse.
In addition to trauma, Dr. Chandra also is experienced in working with children and adolescents with a wide variety of presenting problems. She also enjoys diagnostic assessment and providing parents with personalized recommendations to help their children succeed.
