Michael Turner, LPC

Michael Turner is an Alumni of Alabama A & M University with his Bachelor’s of Science Degree in Political Science – Prelaw & Minor in Music Education. While obtaining his Master’s of Science Degree in Counseling Psychology he was inducted into the Kappa Sigma Chapter of Alpha Kappa Mu National Honor Society and Psi Chi International Honor Society in Psychology. He holds memberships with American Counseling Association and Licensed Professional Counselors Association of Georgia.

Clinically Michael has worked with clients dealing with severe traumas, depressive disorders, anxiety disorders, and men’s health. He is a Trauma Focused Informed Therapist. Demographically Michael has worked with adolescents, teens, young adults, couples, individuals, families, LGBTQIA+, high school & college athletes, professional entertainers, and members of the clergy. Michael has vast a knowledge of relaxation techniques; and has become a Dialectal Behavioral Therapy Informed Therapist (DBT) and is credentialed in Hypnotherapy. Not only using hypnosis for relaxation Michael has treated clients who have the desire to stop smoking, vaping, anger management, lose weight, achieve goals, eliminate anxieties, deal with aggressive behaviors, build self-esteem, and stress management, etc.

In his personal time he loves giving back to the community through community services as an active member of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity Inc., He is also involved with various youth groups and provides psychoeducation to teachers, pastors, and parents about current topics affecting the youth. Michael has never lost his zeal for athletics as a former athlete that was even recognized in “Who’s Who Among High School Athletes,” and with that competitive nature, Michael is sure to beat anybody in NBA 2K 2022 on his PS5!
